Mike Simoens

With a degree in computer science and over 20 years experience in software development and organization building, Mike has a wealth of experience with project planning, budgeting, and management as well as software design and implementation.

Specializing in system design, requirements gathering, and human centred practices, Mike gravitates most towards projects that aim to maximize social impact.

Over the past decade Mike has also been a very active volunteer board member and patient health advocate, serving on several nonprofit boards at a governance level and as a PaCER and Patient Advisor on several Strategic Clinical Network Core Committees for Alberta Health Services.

Mike is currently the Chief Technology Advisor for Origam.ai and the Chair of Humainologie and the Calgary Center for Global Community.
